Periodical, Non-Fiction, Ancient Warfare

Ancient Warfare is a European bi-monthly periodical published in English by Karwansaray Publishers. Each issue has a theme that takes up around half the issue, along with other articles that may be loosely related or totally unrelated. While quite a bit of attention is paid to Greece and Rome, issues have also focused on the Seleucids, Hittites, and Assyrians. Articles are often useful in unexpected ways, such as an article on the despotic era in Greece that pointed out early hoplites needed nine hectares of land to grow enough food to qualify, when the average family lot was only five hectares. Economics, society, and culture are brought up where they're relevant to the military history being discussed.
