Spell-Like ceremonial powers

I am finding the ceremonial casting very inspiring, and have been having fun putting together various ceremonial classes. Here's the question; if I wanted to build a class with a spell-like power that they have to cast ceremonially, how should I work that? The simplest route is just assume that spell-like powers already are cast ceremonially but with no chance of mistake, but I think this loses out on the flavour. Any ideas?

I can actually give you a semi-official explanation to this.

Level 3: The spell can be used once per 8 hours with a casting time of 1 turn. Alternatively, the power can be available once per day with a casting time of 1 round. For instance, the warlock’s Hex custom power grants him the ability to cast bestow curse once per day with a casting time of 1 round.

Level 4: The spell can be used once per day with a casting time of 1 turn. Alternatively, the power can be available once per week with a casting time of 1 round.

If you parse this carefully you see that in terms of class powers, a spell can be cast once per day in 10 seconds if 3rd level or 1 turn if 4th level. If you boil the differences down between spellcasting and ceremonies, it's the fact that spells take a default of 10 seconds, while ceremonies take a default of 10 minutes and require a roll.

So, if you want to give a single ceremony as a class power, treat it as available as available as often as a spell of the next lower level cast in 1 turn, but requiring a ceremony throw to cast.

A 1st level ceremony can be tried at will.

A 2nd level ceremony can be tried at will.

A 3rd level ceremony can be tried once per hour.

A 4th level ceremony can be tried once per 8 hours.

A 5th level ceremony can be tried once per day.

A 6th level ceremony can be tried once per week.

Mechanically the "once per" is effectively when the "stigma of failure" is purified for that caster.

Huh. Ought to slip that into the HFH in the class building chapter.

That works really nicely, thanks! As koewn suggests, this could have a very nice home in the heroic secrets section.

Well, the MOST heroic secrets are reserved for the forums...

This particular balance is including that these ceremony-like powers are subject to botches/mishaps or no?

Yes, and to failure in general.
